Calgary Wrestling – Weekly Update – September 8, 2024 – Spartan Wrestling

Hey Team,

Thanks to all of those who have registered already! We’re looking forward to getting the season started! For those who have missed the last few emails due to spam filters here is a little recap of what’s new and exciting this year. (PS. We have them all posted on the www.spartanwrestling.ca blog in case they did not reach your inbox)

November 21-24 trip to Vancouver for our Bantam and CSG athletes (Grades 6-12).
NEW! Greco-Roman Program to prepare for Provincial and National Championships.
NEW! All Girls Program with a 70% inaugural season pricing discount! (only $250 for this year!!).
NEW! Jr/Sr program for athletes 18+ to continue wrestling in to Post Secondary.
Provincial Championships in Calgary.
Girls & Greco-Roman Easter Tour to Amsterdam/Utrecht for one of Europe’s biggest youth tournaments for Bantam and CSG athletes (Grades 6-12).
National Championships in Calgary. (Grades 7-12)
Team Canada Tryouts in Edmonton (Ages 16 – Adult)
Summer Camp tour to Austria for our CSG athletes (Grades 9-12).
Summer Camp tour to Eastern Canada for our Bantam athletes (Grades 6-8) [Location pending].

As always we are super excited to watch Spartan Alumni Taylor McPherson on the Amazing Race Canada this season! Be sure to tune in this Tuesday to watch her Race in the final leg!

We will continue our pre-season runs every Wednesday until October from 7-8:15 pm meeting at Crescent Heights High School student parking lot for athletes Grades 5 and Older. Free and open to all those interested in getting some outdoor fitness in!
